On Tuesday the United States Supreme court refused to hear arguments from multiple states about the Constitutionality of a same sex marriage bans which had been overturned in those states. Effectively the refusal to hear the cases means that those rulings will now stand, paving the way for same sex marriages in more than 30 states across the country. What do you think about this ruling and the result? Be sure to tell me why!!!
I am glad that the U.S. is finally allowing same sex marriage. We as a nation are free to marry who we choose, so that should not be restricted because people like someone of the same gender. We accept all types of religion and allow that in the U.S. so I am shocked they haven't done this. The fact that the U.S. was not equal until this happened. People who liked others of the same gender were discriminated against in a government standpoint because they wouldn't allow the marriage of 2 people with the same gender. This is a big step for the U.S. and a positive step also.
